Wayne Thomas Gilchrest (born April 15, 1946) is a former Republican member of the United States House of Representatives who represented Maryland's 1st congressional district.
In 2008, the moderate Gilchrest was defeated in the Republican primary by State Senator Andy Harris.
Following his departure from politics he has worked on environmental education.
He is also a member of the ReFormers Caucus of Issue One.
