  • Her research in social psychology concerned contemporary issues of her time and she lectured frequently on subjects regarding personality and social perception.
  • The first woman to serve as a department chair in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Buffalo, she held the post longer than any of her successors.
  • She designed a curriculum for the School of Nursing at UB, receiving numerous awards for her teaching excellence, and was made a fellow of the American Psychological Association in 1932.
