Thomas Joseph Rooney (born November 21, 1970) is an American politician who served as a U.S.
Representative from Florida from 2009 to 2019.
He represented Florida's 16th congressional district from 2009 to 2013 and Florida's 17th congressional district from 2013 to 2019.
He is a member of the Republican Party. Rooney announced in February 2018 that he would retire from Congress and would not seek re-election in 2018.
