- Lal Thanhawla (born 19 May 1942) is an Indian politician and former Chief Minister of Mizoram from 11 December 2008 to 11 December 2018.
- Previously he was Chief Minister from 1984 to 1986 and from 1989 to 1998.
- He was elected to another term in the 2013 Mizoram Legislative Assembly election.
- This was the fifth time he was elected to the office of Chief Minister, which is a record in Mizoram.
- He belongs to the Indian National Congress.
