About Emma Twigg
- Emma Twigg (born 1 March 1987 in Napier, New Zealand) is a New Zealand rower.
- She competed in the single scull at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.
- She was selected to compete in the 2016 Rio Olympics, where she finished fourth.Twigg took 2015 off from rowing and completed a FIFA Master in Management, Law, and Humanities of Sport (building on an undergraduate degree from the University of Waikato.
- She took time off from rowing again after the 2016 Summer Olympics, and was employed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Switzerland.
- She returned to competitive rowing in 2019, in a bid to qualify for the 2020 Olympics and is part of the New Zealand international team competing in the single sculls.
- Twigg won the 2019 Princess Royal Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta.
