Ian Purkayastha (born August 30, 1992) is the founder of Regalis, a New York based luxury foods company, specializing in fresh truffles, caviar, and exotic seafoods.
At 15, Ian began foraging for mushrooms and wild greens with his uncle in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
After tasting his first truffle soon after, Ian began cold-calling local restaurants and chefs in neighboring cities.
Today, based in New York, Regalis sells products to 80% of the Michelin starred restaurant community and has offices in New York, Chicago, and Texas.
Ian authored Truffle Boy: My Unexpected Journey Through the Exotic Food Underground in February, 2017, released by Hachette Books.
