About Curt Bader
- Curt Bader (born January 5, 1961 in Bloomfield, Iowa) is an American sprint canoer who competed from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s.
- He was eliminated in the semifinals of the K-4 1000 m event at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul.
- In a strange episode during a post-event interview a question about Polish Canadian paddlers Marek Dopierala and Marek Lbik launched Bader onto a tangent about Polish immigrants, leading the Olympic Committee to penalize him for "expressing anti-Polish sentiment".
- Eight years later in Atlanta, Bader was eliminated in the semifinals of the same event.
