About Daniel Gorringe

  • Daniel Gorringe (born 2 June 1992) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Gold Coast Suns and the Carlton Blues.
  • He played in the SANFL for Norwood and was named in the All-Australian team in 2010 and was touted early as one of Australia's best junior footballers.
  • He was drafted by Gold Coast with pick 10 in the 2010 national draft.
  • He made his debut against the Western Bulldogs in round 3, 2011 and struggled with injuries throughout his AFL career.
  • In 2015 newly appointed Gold Coast Suns coach Rodney Eade delisted Gorringe, rumours surfaced their relationship was toxic and had numerous confrontations.
  • Carlton Football Club picked up Gorringe in 2015 as a delisted free agent.
  • After two years at Carlton he retired due to his consistent achillies injuries where he required several surgeries to fix ongoing issues.
