About Daryl Sconiers
- Daryl Anthony Sconiers (born October 3, 1958) is a former Major League Baseball first baseman.
- He played all or part of five seasons in the major leagues between 1981 and 1985, all with the California Angels.In 1985, Sconiers admitted to having a substance abuse problem after missing a portion of spring training.
- He was let go after the season and never played in the major leagues again.
- Before his release, he was considered the heir apparent to future Hall of Famer Rod Carew's starting first base job.
