David Lewis Marshall (January 14, 1943 – June 6, 2019) was an American professional baseball player, an outfielder who appeared in Major League Baseball for the San Francisco Giants, New York Mets and the San Diego Padres.
Born in Artesia, California, Marshall graduated from Lakewood High School and attended College of the Sequoias and Long Beach State University.
He threw right handed, batted left handed, and was listed as 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m) tall and 182 pounds (83 kg).
Marshall's professional career extended from 1963 through 1973.
He overcame a torn rotator cuff injury to appear in 490 games played in the majors between 1967 and 1973 for all of five seasons and parts of two others.
He played in 110 games for the 1969 Giants and 100 contests for the 1971 Mets, but batted only .232 and .238 respectively.
His 258 career hits included 41 doubles, four triples and 16 home runs.
Marshall died June 6, 2019.
