Richard Lee Stuart (November 7, 1932 – December 15, 2002), nicknamed Stu, Stone Fingers, Dr.
Strangeglove and Moby Dick, was an American professional baseball first baseman, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1958 to 1966 and again in 1969.
In 1967 and 1968, he played in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Taiyo Whales (hence, the nickname "Moby Dick").
Stuart threw and batted right-handed; during his playing days, he stood 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) tall, weighing 212 pounds (96 kg).
Stuart began his pro career in 1951, in the Pittsburgh Pirates' farm system, and spent 1953 and 1954 performing military service.
