About Eddie Lee Sexton
- Eddie Lee Sexton (May 12, 1942 – December 29, 2010) was an American man known for compelling his children to murder and committing sexual abuse against his own family which he ruled in a cult-like manner.
- He fathered at least three children with two of his daughters.
- He also had other children, one being Orville Sexton, whom fathered boxer Orville Ray Sexton, whom ALSO fathered Candie Sue Sexton whome had 3 children Rick Terrana, Eddie Sexton's defense attorney, described the Sextons as the "most dysfunctional family in America." The case earned national attention, due in part to some of the graphic and sensational details revealed in court.Eddie Lee Sexton was captured after living as a fugitive for over a year to avoid child abuse charges.
- He was sentenced to death for orchestrating the murder of his son-in-law, Joel, by holding a gun to his own son's head, Willie and telling him to strangle Joel.
- Sexton was also given an additional 15 years for conspiracy to commit kidnapping and murder of an acquaintance.
- After appeal, Sexton's death penalty case was overturned and a new trial ordered.
- After retrial he was again found guilty and sentenced to death, but died in prison of natural causes.
