Ludwig Gumplowicz (March 9, 1838, Kraków – August 20, 1909, Graz, Austria-Hungary), was a Polish sociologist, one of the founders of European sociology.
He was also a jurist and political scientist who taught constitutional and administrative law at the University of Graz.
