Ichiro Kono (Japanese: ????) (June 2, 1898 – July 8, 1965) was a Japanese politician representing a portion of Kanagawa prefecture.
He joined first now-defunct Liberal Party (Japan, 1945) and then Liberal Democratic Party (Japan).
As a significant member of the latter, he served as minister several times.
He is also known the root of politician family tree which consist of his younger brother of Kenzo Kono, his second son Yohei Kono, and his grandfather and Yohei's son Taro Kono.
He graduated in politics from Waseda University where was known as competent athlete.
Later he eventually served as President of the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (1965).
