About Erling Naper
- Erling Naper (born 24 June 1936) is a Norwegian banker and civil servant. He took the cand.jur.
- degree in 1962, and then worked as a deputy judge in Sarpsborg.
- From 1964 to 1971 he worked for Hambros Bank in London, and in 1971 he was hired in Den norske Creditbank.
- He became vice president of the company, but was downsized in 1988.
- In 1989 he was appointed director of the Norwegian Guarantee Institute for Export Credits.
- The appointment was somewhat surprising, as many had expected the acting director Erik Holtedahl to get the job on a permanent basis.
- However, Naper had been a board member of the Guarantee Institute.
- He has also been a member of Norges EksportrĂĄd. He resides in Oslo.
