Burghardt Wittig (born December 3, 1947) is the chairman of the Foundation Institute Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics, a non-profit foundation and a German professor of biochemistry and molecular biology at Freie Universitaet Berlin in Berlin (FUB), Germany.
He is known for his research in the fields of chromatin structure and gene regulation, DNA structures induced by torsional strain, signal transduction mediated by G-proteins, DNA- and cell-based vaccines and therapeutic immunomodulation.
