- Friedrich "Frieder" Rupp (26 November 1917 – 15 May 1943) was a Luftwaffe ace and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross during World War II.
- The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
- Friedrich Rupp was shot down on 15 May 1943 over the North Sea, he was posthumously promoted to Oberleutnant.
- During his career he was credited with 52 victories, 50 over the Eastern Front and 2 over the Western Front.
