Patty Paine (born May 17, 1965) is an American poet and scholar from Vernon, New Jersey.
She is the author of five books, the most recent of which is a chapbook titled City of Small Fires (Hysterical Books, 2018).
Her second book, Grief & Other Animals (Accents Publishing, 2015) is a 2015 INDIEFAB Book of the Year Award Finalist.
She has served as co-editor for two anthologies of Arabian literature and as founding editor-in-chief for Diode Poetry Journal and Diode Editions.
She teaches writing and literature as associate professor at Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar, where she is also the interim associate dean of academic affairs.
