- Gareth David James (born 1 December 1984) is an English cricketer.
- James is a right-handed batsman who bowls leg breaks.
- He was born at Walthamstow, London. James was contracted on to the Essex CCC Academy and throughout that time made his List A debut for the Essex Cricket Board against the Surrey Cricket Board in the 2nd round of the 2003 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy which was held in 2002.
- His second and final List A match for the Board came against Essex in the 3rd round same competition which was played in 2003.
- In his 2 List A matches, he scored 52 runs at a batting average of 51.00, with a single half century high score of 51*.In 2004, James made his first-class debut for CUCCE against Warwickshire.
