About Colin Burgess (musician)

  • Colin John Burgess (born 16 November 1946) is an Australian musician who was a drummer in the rock group the Masters Apprentices from 1968 to 1972 and was the original drummer for hard rockers AC/DC (November 1973–February 1974).
  • The Masters Apprentices had top 20 singles chart success with "5:10 Man", "Think about Tomorrow Today", "Turn Up Your Radio" and "Because I Love You".
  • In 1998 The Masters Apprentices, with Burgess, were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
