About Henry Soames

  • Henry Soames (18 January 1843– 30 August 1913) was an English cricketer.
  • Soames' batting style is unknown.
  • He was born at Brighton, Sussex, and was educated at Brighton College.
  • His father, William Aldwin Soames, had founded the college in 1845. Soames made a single first-class appearance for Hampshire against Kent in 1867 at B.

  • Kent went on to win the match by nine wickets.
