About Herbert Broennle
- Herbert Broennle (25 December 1920 – 4 July 1943) was a Luftwaffe ace and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross during World War II.
- The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
- Herbert Broennle was killed on 4 July 1943 when he was shot down and crashed north of Lake Lentini in Italy.
