Vice Admiral Manohar Prahlad Awati, PVSM, VrC (7 September 1927 – 4 November 2018) was an Indian admiral, who served as Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C) of Western Naval Command of Indian Navy.
He retired in 1983.
During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, he was awarded the Vir Chakra for his command of the INS Kamorta.
The admiral was also known as the "Father of the Indian Navy's Circumnavigation Adventures".
