Antonio Cagnoli (29 September 1743, Zakynthos – 6 August 1816, Verona) was an Italian astronomer, mathematician and diplomat in the service of the Republic of Venice.
His father Ottavio was chancellor to the Venetian governor of the Ionian Islands.
The colored image we have put in our page about Antonio Cagnoli was taken from the Palermo Observatory website. In fact, that image comes from a painting which is conserved in the Palermo Observatory museum. I haven't been able to find any copyright issue related to this image, therefore I think you can use this picture without worrying about the copyright. License: CC-PD-Mark PD-Art (PD-old-100)
