About Anoushka Sabnis
- Anoushka Sabnis (born January 27, 2007) is an Indian author and poet.
- She is the author and illustrator of her collection of 52 poems (Once Upon A Verse - because poems tell stories).
- She published her first book at the age of 10 years.
- She is the recipient of the Gold award at the Royal Commonwealth Essay Competition 2018.
- And she is a Global Goodwill Ambassador.
- Anoushka lives in New Delhi, Delhi, India.Anoushka created a world record for being the youngest poet (female) to publish a poetry book internationally.
- Anoushka started composing stories at the age of five and her mother posted them on a blog that she created for her.
- By age six, Anoushka composed her first poem. As a new year resolution in 2016, she took up the challenge of writing poems and ended the year with 52 poems written over the 52 weekends of the year.
- Her first book is a collection of these poems. Anoushka is an avid reader, a quality she says inspired her to take up writing. She has spoken at various platforms including the Jaipur Literature Festival.
