Anoushka Sabnis (born January 27, 2007) is an Indian author and poet.
She is the author and illustrator of her collection of 52 poems (Once Upon A Verse - because poems tell stories).
She published her first book at the age of 10 years.
She is the recipient of the Gold award at the Royal Commonwealth Essay Competition 2018.
And she is a Global Goodwill Ambassador.
Anoushka lives in New Delhi, Delhi, India.Anoushka created a world record for being the youngest poet (female) to publish a poetry book internationally.
Anoushka started composing stories at the age of five and her mother posted them on a blog that she created for her.
By age six, Anoushka composed her first poem.
As a new year resolution in 2016, she took up the challenge of writing poems and ended the year with 52 poems written over the 52 weekends of the year.
Her first book is a collection of these poems.
Anoushka is an avid reader, a quality she says inspired her to take up writing.
She has spoken at various platforms including the Jaipur Literature Festival.
Anoushka was the youngest Speaker at the Jaipur Literature Festival 2019.
