About Jack Wrout

  • John Everett "Jack" Wrout (8 October 1911 – 16 June 1981) was an Australian rules footballer who played in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Wrout debuted in the VFL for North Melbourne.
  • He made the move to Princes Park and made his debut for the Carlton Football Club in Round 12 of the 1936 season.
  • He broke his leg in a game against Footscray in 1944 and was forced into retirement.
  • Wrout later served a long administrative career at Carlton, serving as chairman of selectors.
