Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade (born (1947-09-17)17 September 1947) is a Brazilian judge on the International Court of Justice, based in The Hague (Den Haag), Netherlands, a position he has held since 6 February 2009.
Cançado Trindade is a professor at Utrecht University's Netherlands Institute of Human Rights (SIM).
He was reelected to the Court in December 2017, and took office for his second term on 6 February 2018.
