About Jane Smit
- Jane Smit (born 24 December 1972, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, England) is an English cricketer and former member of the England team.
- She retired from the game during England's tour of Australia in 2008 after having played 109 one day internationals and 21 Tests.
- She was part of the team which regained the Ashes in 2005.
- Her brother David represented the Derbyshire Cricket Board in List A cricket. In the 2000 Women's Cricket World Cup she along with Claire Taylor set the record for the highest 5th wicket runstand in the history of Women's Cricket World Cup(188*)She holds the record for registering the most dismissals as wicketkeeper in Women's Cricket World Cup history(40)
