Patricia Campbell Warner (born 1936) is a dress historian and Professor Emerita in Costume History at University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
She received her BA with honors at the University of Toronto and her MA and Ph.D.
in the History of Design and Costume History at the University of Minnesota.
She was a historian of dress at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1988 until her retirement in 2007.She wrote the book When the Girls Came Out to Play: The Birth of American Sportswear on women’s clothing for sports and on the creation of American sportswear for women.
She is a Fellow of the Costumer Society of America.
