About Joe Purzycki
- Joseph Purzycki (born February 20, 1947) is a former American football coach.
- He served as the head football coach at Delaware State University from 1981 to 1984 and James Madison University between 1985 and 1990.
- Purzycki became the first white man to ever be named a head football coach at an historically black college or university when he was elected Delaware State's newest head coach in 1981.
- Purzycki was an assistant at the University of Delaware prior to his Delaware State tenure, where he learned the Wing T offense from College Football Hall of Fame coach Tubby Raymond.
