John Henry Rutherford (born September 2, 1952) is an American politician and former sheriff who is currently serving in the United States House of Representatives for Florida's 4th congressional district, which encompasses all of Nassau County along with parts of Duval and St.
Johns counties.
He was an officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office before serving as the Duval County Sheriff from 2003 to 2015.
He is a member of the Republican Party.
