DeSimone (born May 16, 1964) is an American chemist, inventor and entrepreneur, best known as the 2008 recipient of the $500,000 Lemelson–MIT Prize and as the co-founder and CEO of Carbon, an American technology company.He is the Chancellor's Eminent Professor of Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and William R.
