  • Matthew Boling (born June 20, 2000) is an American track and field athlete who gained national attention when he ran a wind-aided 9.98s 100m in the Region 6A-3 track meet on April 27, 2019.
  • Boling set the national high school record of 10.13 seconds the next month.
  • Boling has been nicknamed "White Lightning", although he has stated that he does not like the moniker and would prefer just "Matt".Representing Strake Jesuit College Preparatory school in Houston, Texas, Boling set many records in Texas UIL track and field competition.
  • Boling is an all-around sprinter and a strong jumper; his primary events during high school were the 400m and long jump, but his performances in the 100m and 200m during his senior season garnered national attention and showcased his competitive range.
