- Group Captain Kambampati Nachiketa Rao Vayusena Medal (Gallantry), is an officer of the Indian Air Force. During the Kargil War on 27 May 1999, Nachiketa was captured by A Pakistani patrol led by Capt.
- Rao Tahseen Ali ( Major retired as of now) in Kashmir after his jet was shot down by the very same Pakistani patrol followed by his ejection from his MiG-27L He was held in Pakistani custody as the first Indian prisoner of war of the conflict.
