Seyyed Mohammad Hadi Milani (1892-1975), was a Shiite grand ayatollah.
He was born and educated in Najaf, Iraq, and died in Mashhad, Iran.
His grandfather was the Shiite scholar Sheykh Mohammad Hasan Mamaqani (d.
1905). After the death of grand ayatollah Borujerdi in 1961, Milani together with ayatollahs Shariatmadari and Khomeini was one of Iran's leading Shiite ayatollahs.
