Maria Gainza (born December 25, 1975, City of Buenos Aires) is an Argentine art critic and writer.She is the daughter of Alberto Gainza Paz, who was director of the newspaper La Prensa.
She began publishing about art in 2003, his first articles for newspapers and cultural supplements.
She worked at The New York Times correspondent in Buenos Aires and was an ArtNews correspondent.
For more than ten years she was a regular contributor to Artforum magazine.
She also wrote in the Radar supplement of the newspaper Página/12.
He has taught courses for artists at the Center for Artistic Research and art critic workshops at Torcuato di Tella University.She was co-editor of the collection on Argentine art "Los Sentidos", by Adriana Hidalgo Editora.
