- Willem Maré van der Merwe (born 20 July 1960) is a South African orthopaedic surgeon and former cricketer.
- van der Merwe was a professional cricketer in South Africa from 1978 to 1987, playing predominantly for Orange Free State and Western Province.
- He later played first-class cricket in England for Oxford University and has since become a surgeon.
- He is the current president of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS).
