Maynard Dixon (January 24, 1875 – November 11, 1946) was an American artist whose body of work focused on the American West.
He was married for a time to American photographer Dorothea Lange.
Together with Fernand Lungren (1857-1932), another California (i.e.
Santa Barbara, California) based artist, Maynard Dixon is considered one of the finest artists having dedicated most of their art on the US South West cultures and landscapes at the end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century.
