About Midori Katō

  • Midori Kato (?? ???, Kato Midori) is a Japanese actress, voice actress, and narrator represented by Gekidankawa, Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society, and Sigma Seven (1993–2002), but is now a free agent (freelance). She is most famous for the role of Sazae Fuguta from the long-running family anime Sazae-san.
  • She is also known for the roles as Yoshiko in Sally the Witch, Osomatsu Matsuno in Osomatsu-kun (1966) and for singing the ending theme to GeGeGe no Kitaro. She was invited by Emperor Akihito's party in 2012.
  • On November 17, 2019, she was awarded the Guinness World Record for "the longest career as a voice actor for the same character in an animated television series".
