Constantin Lache (15 November 1923 – 25 August 2010) was a Romanian professional handball and basketball player and head coach.
He is the most successful handball manager in the history of Timi?oara, claiming 8 female titles with Universitatea Timi?oara.
Led by Lache, the Romania women's national handball team finished eight in the 1982 World Championship losing only one match and that to the eventual winners Soviet Union. He graduated from the A.N.E.F.
and made his coaching debut with the men's handball team ?tiin?a Timi?oara.
Before becoming a head coach for the women's handball team Universitatea Timi?oara, he coached Universitatea Timi?oara to a bronze medal in the National Women's Basketball League in 1968. Lache was given the award of Ceta?ean de onoare ("Honorary Citizen") of the city of Timi?oara in 2007.He was nicknamed "Costica".
