Akjemal Magtymova (born October 13, 1968) is a Turkmen physician, who is currently a WHO (World Health Organization) representative to the Sultanate of Oman.
Dr Magtymova has extensive technical and leadership experience in international development and public health with the United Nations and World Health Organization.
Before assuming her current assignment, Dr Magtymova served as WHO Deputy Head of Office/Emergency Coordinator supporting the health emergency response in Laos, DPR Korea, India, Maldives, Nepal, Yemen.
