- Dmitri Yerofeyevich Osten-Sacken (Russian: ???´???? ?????´???? ?´????-??´???) (24 April 1789 – 4 March 1881) was a Russian general of Baltic German/Russian descent, member of the State Council, commander in charge of military settlements in the South of Russia during the Crimean War.He participated in Napoleonic wars, Russo-Persian War (1826–28), Russo-Turkish War (1828–29), suppression of the November Uprising in Poland, Russian conquest of Caucasus, and the Crimean War, overall 15 campaigns and over 90 battles and skirmishes.
