About Peter Katholos

  • Petros "Peter" Katholos (Greek: ??t??? ???????; born 18 March 1961) is a former Australian football (soccer) player.
  • He was a member of the Socceroos, Australia's national soccer team, throughout the 1980s during which time he made 22 international appearances (15 ' A-matches'), scoring 3 goals. He is best known for his time as a midfielder with Sydney Olympic FC and later Marconi Stallions in the now defunct Australian National Soccer League (NSL), although he also played for the Greek team A.E.
  • Larisa at one stage. He was nicknamed "The Kat" by Sydney Olympic supporters.
