About Peter Loubardias

  • Peter Loubardias (born September 20, 1965) is a Canadian sportscaster currently serving as the colour commentator for Sportsnet 960 The Fan's broadcasts of Calgary Flames games. Loubardias attended schooling at Western Academy Broadcasting College in Saskatoon.
  • Known for his encyclopedic knowledge of junior hockey, Loubardias has presented sports coverage in numerous cities across Canada, including Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, Moncton and Edmonton.
  • Loubardias has previously worked for Rogers Sportsnet as a play-by-play commentator for the Calgary Flames from 2008-2011, as well as numerous Memorial Cup tournaments.
  • He also provided play-by-play for select games of the 2010 Winter Olympics men's ice hockey.Along with his sportscasting duties, Loubardias has also served as a scout for the Red Deer Rebels.
