About Peter Steedman
- Alan Peter Steedman (born 7 December 1941) is a former Australian politician.
- At Melbourne University he edited Farrago, the Melbourne University Student Union paper.
- He also edited Lot's Wife at Monash University.In 1983, he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Labor member for Casey, defeating Liberal MP Peter Falconer.
- However, a redistribution made his seat marginally Liberal, and as a result he was defeated the following year by Liberal Bob Halverson and retired from politics.
- Pete Steedman was the Executive Director of the not-for-profit company Ausmusic from 1988 to 1996.
