Philip "Phil" Margo (born April 1, 1942, Brooklyn, New York) is an American musician and author who is a longtime member of The Tokens, as was his late brother Mitch Margo.
They are best known for their hit recording of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" which rose to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remained there for three weeks in 1961.
Other hits by The Tokens included "Tonight I Fell In Love", "I Hear Trumpets Blow", "He's In Town" and "Portrait of My Love".
Margo is the author of the 2010 science fiction novel, The Null Quotient.
