About Rene Alperstein
- Rene Alperstein (born 30 June 1964 in Watford) is an English former actress, best known for the part of Pamela Cartwright in Grange Hill (BBC 1981-1982). She studied tap, ballet, and jazz dance as a student at the Italia Conti Stage School.
- After leaving Grange Hill, she spent some time in theatre, and toured alongside Derek Nimmo in There's a Girl in My Soup.
- She also had television parts in Alas Smith and Jones (BBC), Who Dares Wins (Channel 4) as well as numerous TV commercials. She retired from acting, and is now a medical recruitment consultant.
