Sharyl Attkisson (born 1961) is an American writer and host of the TV show Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson.She is a five-time Emmy Award winner, and an RTNDA Edward R.
Murrow Award recipient.
She was formerly an investigative correspondent in the Washington bureau for CBS News and a substitute anchor for the CBS Evening News.
Attkisson resigned from CBS News on March 10, 2014, after 21 years with the network.
She later wrote the book Stonewalled, in which she alleged that CBS News failed to give sufficient coverage of Obama controversies, such as the 2012 Benghazi attack.
Attkisson has received criticism for publishing stories suggesting a possible link between vaccines and autism, a claim that has been rejected by the scientific community.
