  • Shinsaku Uesugi (?? ??, Uesugi Shinsaku, born April 17, 1991 in Kyoto, Japan) is a FIDE Master (FM, World Chess Federation Master) of Japan and played for Japan at the 38th Chess Olympic in Dresden, Germany in November 2008.
  • He won the 40th Japan National Chess Championship in May 2007 and became youngest ever National Champion (16 years, 18 days old).
  • He also became Co-Champion of the U.S.
  • National High School Championship in April 2010. Shinsaku Uesugi was born in Kyoto, Japan on April 17, 1991 and moved to the United States in March 2000.
