About Beppo Römer
- Josef “Beppo” Römer (17 November 1892 – 25 September 1944) was a member of the Freikorps Oberland, one of the paramilitary organizations that sprang up around Germany as soldiers returned in defeat from World War I.
- He was later an organizer for the Communist Party of Germany (KPD).
- He worked against the Third Reich, plotted an assassination of Hitler in 1934 and was executed by the Nazi regime.
